OVERVIEW DESCRIPTION
Specialty Construction, LLC is a sole proprietorship established in 2001, owned and operated by Salwan Toumajian (Angel) and Bassam Toumajian (Bob). Ms. Salwan Toumajian Holds a B.S. in Pharmacy from University of Houston and Mr. Bassam Toumajian holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Texas Tech University. Our other full-time staff include a Project Manager, Project Superintendent, Foremen, as well as Master Operators and Craftsmen- some of whom have been with the company for over a decade.
Since it was founded, the Company has successfully completed projects in a myriad of specialties. Early on we successfully completed major Marine projects that involved sheet piling, beach restoration, and the construction of piers, pedestrian bridges, dams, and bulkheads.
The major Parks projects that we have undertaken included associated Buildings, Large Shade Structures, Canopies, Pedestrian Facilities, Playgrounds and other Amenities.
Our experience with storm drains construction allowed us to segue our efforts to the Hurricane Harvey Disaster Relief Efforts. Our work fortifying the city against natural disasters was far reaching, spanning four key areas: construction of landfill facilities, construction of Pervious streets through waterways and wetlands, vehicular bridge infrastructure repair, and stabilization of the County Jail’s foundation and other county building that were compromised by overflowing Bayous.
We then continued to complete projects for the Flood Control District, focusing on the repair and alignment of bayous and creeks through structural restoration after bank erosion.
Heavy civil construction projects included Clearing, Grading, Excavation, Stabilization, Large storm drain Culverts, construction of Detention Ponds, and street paving.
